Paper (Cellulose) Elements
Their beta number is 2. This means that 1 out of every 2 particles entering the filter element cannot be retained by the filter. Paper media is mostly used in ventilation filters. Paper elements can also be preferred in suction filters. Cellulose filter elements are low-cost, disposable, and nominally rated.
Stainless Steel Elements
Their beta number is 75. They are cleanable elements. They are generally chosen to retain particles above 25 microns. Filters in suction filters or lubrication lines can be selected as stainless steel.
Microglass (Fiberglass) Elements
Their beta number is a minimum of 200. They are high-efficiency elements with high dirt retention capacity. Pressure, return, and circulation filters are made of microglass material.
